Stock Saddle Bronc Riding

It all begins May 11, 2012 at 7 pm at the Pendleton Roundup Grounds Pavilion.

Come experience the 2012 Cattle Barons Stock Saddle Bronc riding event. Bronc riding like you’ve never seen it before!

Watch buckaroos pit their skills against big, strong, outlaw horses. Lots of action. Grab some refreshments and watch stock saddle bronc riding at its best. Buckaroos from all over the Northwest will compete against some of the toughest broncs in the country.

On the big night, Mike Corey will match his tough broncs up against some of the Northwest’s toughest rough stock riders. Horses that buck for a living and buckaroos that have to ride them to make a living. It’s great entertainment, so bring the family.

Curious about Cowboy ways? Come watch them ride the “Bad Ones”. Imagine: No arena and lots of sagebrush and juniper trees. This is an event in real life where failure means a long walk home. Pick your cowboy and bet on him in the Calcutta, you both may be a winner! Lots of fun and excitement.

Come early for the Calcutta / Cowboy Auction! 6pm

The Calcutta will take place at 6pm before the Saddle Bronc Riding. All 20 Cowboys will be calcutta’d (is that a word?). Then the top 4 bill again be calcutta’d right after the long go.

(For you new cowboys: the long go is: all 20 entrants/riders ride their drawn bronc!)

Cattle Barons does not take a cut from contestants entry fees or the added money–only from the Calcuttas. And all proceeds are given away as scholarships to agricultural students.
